Chisago Chain of Lakes:
To alleviate high water situations, a plan was developed to create channels and build weirs (a small overflow dam used to alter the flow of water) to aid in controlling the flow of water throughout the lake system. The chain starts at South Center Lake to North Center Lake to North Lindstrom Lake to South Lindstrom Lake to Chisago Lake to Walmark and Green Lake to Little Green Lake to Lake Ellen to Swamp Lake and eventually to the Sunrise River.
